This review focuses on acquisition and initial quality/performance, as it will take several months to put this product through its paces. We ordered this at our local store and it arrived sooner than quoted, with pick-up efficient as usual for this location. Unless you have two strong guys, I'd suggest using a moving dolly. It was well-packed. Assembly took a couple hours. I suggest using a ratchet and cordless drill (with torque limiter since some screws go into plastic) to speed the process and prevent forearm cramps. Instructions are good--only a couple minor omissions but nothing a little common sense won't see. The hardware is shrink-wrapped on a single paperboard sheet with clear identification and the instruction step number in which each is used--very helpful! Once assembled, the unit has worked well. We don't use the iFit programs, etc. We just want a good, solid unit with good range of speed and incline, smooth operation and easy-to-use primary controls. This treadmill runs smoothly down to very slow speeds up to running speed. Noise is much lower than our older ProForm. Only thing I don't really love about it is the fan path blows high--it will hit all but NBA stars in the face/head, not core. But that is not a big deal for us since we use a larger floor fan when we run on the treadmill, anyway, and these small treadmill fans always make more noise than air. The unit is easy to raise/lower with the locking strut. I have no complaints so far.
Just got it delivered and noticed one speaker and left side of console not working. Called delivery services and they expect me to keep this machine and call my warranty service provider and have a certified technician come out to repair it. VERY unsatisfied.
Is nice and quiet, powerful and nice soft cushioning
I recently purchased this machine and I love it. I made sure it's incline went upto 15. The fan can be swiveled to point upward or downward. My cell can be connected to the speakers on the treadmill. Its easy to fold up and move. Has a variety of workouts. I think it's a great purchase. The only reason why I held back and didn't give it all 5 stars was because I wish it was noisy free or just very very low, i am not sure if that is even possible. It's not super noisy either, it's just I really want noise to be minimal.
I received the NordicTrack 25049 C 970 Pro Treadmill with free delivery, the box is heavy so have the delivery people place it where you are going to set up. Once you open the box and start the set up have someone help with removing the actual running part out of the box, it is also very heavy. If you have the money to have someone come out and build it I would recommend it. It is not easy to build but once all is set the trend mill works as designed. I have had no issues and I have been using it twice a day. The walking or running amount of space given is nice because it is long, so if you are falling behind there is still space to catch up. The presets are great for workouts, the Bluetooth and IFit app are only designed for an IPad which I do not have yet. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase, I would highly recommend it considering the price, durability and functionality. I weigh at 195 lbs and it spins smoothly.
