I've never owned a treadmill before. This is my first time trying to assemble one too. The instructions are VERY clear. There are many steps but none of them are difficult, if you take you time and go slow, you'll probably need ~2 to 2.5 hours. The instructions says you'll need two persons, but I did it mostly by myself. It just takes a little longer. The build quality is what I expected for the price, it's solid, does not feel cheap. The important parts are made of steel. Once put together, the machine meets my expectations, the belt is long but narrower than the ones I've used in commercial fitness places, it's not too marrow that makes me feel uncomfortable though. The noise level is about right, not too noisy. The control panel is fairly straight forward to figure out how to use. There is also a wireless chest band for measuring heart rate but I have not tried it yet. I've only used the one built into the handle bar, which works fine if my hands are not too dry. The wireless one usually costs extra but is included with this mdoel. I especially like the incline feature, it does not decline, that feature will cost extra but it is useful as going up and down uses different muscle groups. There are over 30 preprogrammed workouts but I've only used a time goal and set my own speed and incline. Two things I wish it does: 1. it does not ask me to enter my weight, the calculation for calories is probably just a guess based on averge weight. I wish it uses my actual weight; 2. there is no cool down period at the end of workout, if I set a time goal, it'll end with only maybe 3-5 seconds of slow down and then stop. Other machines I've used usually have a 2-min cool down period. Overall, for the price I paid, I am very happy, especially the assembly instructions are very impressive. You can tell the company put a lot of thoughts into that. The build quality is fine, the functions it provides are more than enough for average users. I'd recommend this machine to a friend.
Product broke after a month, so of course you can't return it after 30 days. Bought the extended plan which is pretty much pointless, because it does nothing for you until after a year of purchase. The manufacturers warranty pretty much gives you the run around on how they are completely useless and want you to try to fix it yourself, but don't have any of the parts in stock so you can at least attempt to fix it. So 6 months later I still have a $1000 ************* that doesn't work. Looks like I have to wait for the extended warranty to start before I can get this thing working again. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!
We are very happy with this unit!!!!
In order to by the belt lubricate, it is nessary to also buy a spray cleaner, keys to the treadmill & two dust clothes. Not appropriate to have to purchase overpriced products one doesn't need.
Helped me replace my treadmill motor. Device great, instructions clear, and I was able to replace motor with warranty replacement.
I have owned this treadmill for about 3 to 4 years. I am on the 3rd motor and 2nd circuit board. My current motor is 8 months old and not the treadmill powers off during the workout. It takes 15 minutes before it will power on again. I have had 3 900 models in the last 10 years. I have had to replace motors in all of them. If you call Nordic track customer service you will be on hold for 30 minutes.
