This machine is durable and a great deal. We bought the machine on sale and the cost equates to about what we were paying for about 6 months membership at our local gym. The money we will save by exercising at home will more than pay for this equipment. This machine allows you to adjust the height according to which part of your legs you'd like to work on. You can really feel the burn! The cardio benefits are a real plus. We tried several models in the store and this machine does not give you the "****" that others did--very smooth. After using a commercial machine for years at the local gym, this machine is the perfect version for home without breaking the bank. Although very heavy, the wheels on the front make it possible to move around if needed in a room, but you wouldn't want to have to move it everyday.
I bought this on sale from Sears for $378 and I feel that it is easily worth twice as much. The hardest part was moving the box inside house by myself. After that, assembly (by myself) was an absolute breeze! I can't imagine anyone having trouble putting this thing together by themselves. I also bought a heavy duty rubber mat (6mm x 36" x 78") and it fits perfect. This machine is extremely smooth & quiet. And you get a great workout with it.
Machine works very well, was easy to assemble and is very quiet. I got a great deal because it is a discontinued model.
I am not a novice when it comes to assembling a product. The most difficult, until this Elliptical, was a BOWFLEX machine. The frame was bent at it was very difficult to attach the front stabilizer. With the aide of three people, we were able to straighten the frame and proceed with assembly. I rated the product good for it's price and final appearance. The resistance is more intense then the machines at LA Fitness, but the elliptical is stable. If you purchase this machine give yourself at least two hours for assembly (this would be without a bent frame).
