It was time to replace my old elliptical and I thought I'd spend a little more on this one. After lots of research I decided on the E 7.0 Z. It has all of the features I want, and none I don't need or use. I purchased it this week, finished assembly and have had three significant workouts since. First, assembly was not all that bad. I did it myself (though they recommend two people, and that may have helped a bit). All of the parts and tools were included (except for a rubber mallet). The instructions were very easy to follow, and the parts all fit, first time. Good thing about assembling an item like this yourself, is you can see the guts of the construction. I was impressed with the sturdiness, the welds, and the overall design. For the money, this is a solid piece of equipment. Second, I'd like to respond to the comment about the stiff resistance. When I first climbed on the elliptical, it did feel stiff a bit. Though after I plugged the unit in, ran it for a while, and then readjusted the resistance, the lowest setting actually was not as resistant as I'd like and I had to up it a bit. So I think the unit needs a little bit of "break in" time to get to it's normal operational state. To me, that's another good sign that it's a solid build. Lastly, the equipment is a pleasure to work out on. I didn't choose the iFit option as I have tons of my own virtual walk videos that I display on my tablet with natural sounds accompanying them. The tablet holder works perfectly and the speakers actually sound good (though I still use headphones). Overall, I think NordicTrak did a great job on this model. Great build, good features, and is priced very well.
My wife and I bought this elliptical from the Sears store. It worked fine but in less than 6 months. It gave out the motor needed to be replaced. sears does not service NordicTrack. Plus NordiTrack does not service their own products. They sent us the little motor and said do it yourself.
A PURCHASE from ****. I purchased my elliptical on June 9th 2018, I opted to have the assembly done with the delivery and was scheduled for the following Wednesday to have my elliptical delivered. The delivery team showed up a little late than the scheduled delivery and and once they got to my home, I advise them that I wanted it set up in my bedroom on the second-floor. They told me that they were not able to do the assembly because they only had three men and they needed another man to get the elliptical up the stairs so they called their supervisor to tell her the scenario and she promised to have the delivery team come back on Friday with 4 men, which would be 2 days to complete the assembly. I took off and stayed home all day Friday. My delivery window was from 5 to 7 p.m. So, I noticed that it was getting later and later after the delivery time frame and I contacted Sears to inquire. They told me that I should wait a little longer that the team was on the last delivery before mines and they should be at my home shortly. I waited longer and still they were no show. So, I contacted Sears again and spoke with home delivery and they advised me that the drivers would not be able to service me today and I would have to wait another whole week before they will be able to come out again. So, at this point I was pissed and I advised them that I wanted a full refund for the assemble which was $69.So they transferred me and the guy I spoke with told me he would have a case open for me and I should receive a email shortly with the status and details. I never received the email. I had to call back again, then the refund was requested and I would have to wait 3 to 5 days for it to be processed. So, I finally got my refund on the 22nd in my bank account and it was short by $7 and the email stated refund for one amount which was correct but they did not deposit the correct amount in my account. So I called and complained and then they told me that it was nothing that they could do because it had already been processed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and then was put on hold for a very long time and then she came back and asked if somebody could call me back because no one was available at the moment. I just got fed up and told her they were full of it and I will be leaving them a bad review for my experience with this whole ordeal. At the end of the day, Me and my 12 year old son took the elliptical out-of-the-box ourselves and and was able to get the elliptical up the stairs by ourselves. I was able to finish the assembly and set it up on my own when 3 Delivery Man couldn't even attempt to try to get it up the stairs or didn't want to do the work their selves. But somehow just the two of us were able to do it and I am a female .So my point is this whole experience is ridiculous. I received horrible cust svc & was lied to by supervisor promising to come back out and correct the issue and did not show up. The elliptical performed well at store overall
Had a problem. Sent an email to Icon fitness. They responded in a few days with troubleshooting steps. When that didn't fix the problem they sent me a new console. Elliptical is back and running smooth as ever.
I use the trainer daily and feel it was well worth the money spent!
After two weeks, I needed to report a failure, thecnical service fixed problem, but after several days, The E 7.0 Z has the same failure.
Loving this machine!! Works great, as expected or maybe better. Electronics package is very nice, assembly pretty easy, and apparently doesn't use much power at all.
