This is one of the most comfortable elliptical trainers I used. I prefer the flywheel in the back to other versions of the ellipticals as it feels more natural. The stride length is just enough for average size men or woman. I am 5'10" and my wife is 5'2" and we both can use without any re-adjustments. NordicTrack E 7.7 is full of features so if you like those fancy training programs there are 24 of them. The nice additional feature is the incline change by just press of the button. This is good deal because NordicTrac still sells exactly the same elliptical trainer but with new name "AudioStrider 990 Pro" http://www.nordictrack.com/fitness/en/NordicTrack/Ellipticals/audiostrider-990-pro-elliptical-1. All features are identical to "NordicTrack E 7.7" but the MSRP went up to $1499.00!!! So get this "NordicTrack E 7.7" and enjoy great machine for fraction of the price!
The elliptical does not show the correct data. It shows me running 8 miles when in reality I ran less than 4. As far as I can tell the only information that is close to being accurate is the number of strides. distance, RPM's, Calories burned are all wrong. here is the formula to see how far you have gone. 2(flywheel) x number of strides/63360=total distance 63360 is the number of inches in 1 mile. The flywheel is listed in the features. I used the fitbit website to verify my calculations Nordic track replaced the console and the reed switch, but the problems stayed the same. Their final response was: it is running to manufacturer specifications your ticket has been resolved. I cannot recommend purchasing this elliptical until they fix the data problems.
We've had for less then a year and a half and have had several services calls for repairs. Now the frame is broken and have to negotiate with nordic track for compensation. And we purchased an extended warranty. Piece of junk.
The machine constantly wobbles and squeaks. Feels very unstable.
easy to use
Bought the elliptical to replace a Proform that I used for over 3,999 miles. Got this one because it was rear-drive and foldable. From the first day, Sears service was awful. Delivery men would not put the machine in the room where I asked. Then the first "ride" on the machine revealed a horrible squeak and a "kathunk" when the right pedal was pushed down. Sears came out did NOTHING. Several calls later, neither Sears nor NordicTrack will service this brand new machine. VERY DISAPPONTED! Nothing like the quiet ride in the store.
The adjustable foot pedals make noise on different settings when in use. Locking pins do not lock in properly, causing a rattling noise when using elliptical.
