This item was delivered on time just before Thanksgiving. It comes in one BIG BOX. The guy offered to put it together but I refused. I wanted to do it myself. I lost 10 pounds putting it together. But it was not that hard. I was just being real careful to follow the instructions. Once that was done. It was time for me to go. Man this thing is a torcher beast with no emotions. The ramp going up and down, the resistance is increasing, the little fan is trying to blow you off the thing. On top of that Jillian Michaels is yelling at you to work harder. The TV is great. It has HDMI, USB and coaxial inputs and the sound comes from the speakers on the head unit. Its great. One word of warning, I got on it from the side and almost cut my foot off. KEEP KIDS AWAY. if two kids are playing on it, they could get there feet into one of the rollers and have it cut off. Its not a toy or a jungle gym for kids. we have had this elliptical for about 2 months and have only been able to use it ZERO time. We have been doing nothing but replacing parts on it. The customer services seems okay, they ship replacement parts fast but only to find out another component on the machine is broken. The pedals come off the track very easily and the rollers arrived with bad barrings. It looks like a nice machine but doesn't hold up. We are trying to return it but sears wants us to return it to the store and will not offer services to pick it up, though they delivered it.
Purchased for Christmas. According to the instructions I need to register the device on their special website, and that will activate the extended warranty. Also need to register to use the special online software to use for workouts. So they have me take a picture of the barcode on the owners manual, and post it to their website. One small problem. The unit is coming up as something completely different than the Nordic track 14.9, which is an issue to get the software uploads, among other things. So I respond to them under their "questions / problems" department. I explain all of the issues I'm having. No response. 3 days go by, then 3 more. I repeat the entire process. 3 more days go by. So then, I call their 1 800 number. Their "hotline". I'm stuck on hold for 45 minutes, after waiting through multiple menus which prompt me to register on their website. After 45 minutes on hold, I am disconnected. I try again. Same results. This is 3 weeks ago. I can't even use it. BEYOND AGGRAVATED
I was supposed to get the one year I fit membership with my eliptical elite 14.9 and never received it!! I reached out to Sears , Nordic Track and I fit still nothing it's been 2 weeks and my Nordic track came with a broken bracket cover still nothing. Worst customer service I've ever experienced .
The elliptical is better and more than I expected. this is a quality piece of equipment that is made solid and ready for you to work out, it can take a hard workout without a blink. I highly recommend NORDIC TRACK HEALTH equipment.
I tried to buy the Model 10.9i first (Order number 889035960) and then this model (order number 889074932). Each time, I did a layaway order. Sears showed me a price online with discounted shipping+Installation and taxes etc. I placed order accepting the terms and conditions. Few minutes later I get an email with a very different price , confirming my order !!!
After some research I figured out that they took back the shipping discount after I placed the online order without my permission or knowledge. I called the customer service line and the robo girl picked up the phone. She insisted that she can help me, but after 10 minuted of argument with a robot (Yes I had to do that in my life), she finally was kind enough to transfer me to a live human being (what a relief to talk with your own kind!).
The human being said they removed the discounted shipping since it was a layaway order ( they never showed that on the previous screens. I do have screen shots of all the order steps due to the first order experience). Finally I cancelled the orders. BTW, layaway order cancellations have a penalty. over the thanks giving holidays, I donated more than $40 to sears due to their own mistakes.
I had traveled 40 miles earlier today to visit a sears store to see and feel these two products. This once seems sturdier and solid. I still want to buy it, but I am disappointed by the ordering process.
Beware if you are ordering on sears.com. and double check the confirmation emails. Take screenshots of every steps if you can- might need it later to prove your case.
