i purchased this nordictrack elite treadill and its great. i super sturdy and can handle any weight. it has great features to make your workouts very tough. very happy with my new treadmill
Treadmill Itself: 4-5 stars. Very quiet, Wide running surface. Installation: 2 Stars. The treadmill belt was not adjusted properly. I had to tighten the belt myself. A few plastic covers not fully seated. Both of these issues I had fixed within 1 hour. Feature Set / Advertising: 0 Stars The feature set for this treadmill is very misleading. All of the features require a paid iFit membership for everyone that uses the treadmill. The cost for a 1 year family membership is $462 extra. This gets you up to 4 users. The individual membership for 2 yrs runs $149. The ONLY feature that works without iFit membership is manual mode. 1) Forget about getting the 40 pre-loaded workouts. 2) Forget about getting semi accurate calorie counts (as there is no way to enter weight without iFit). This is insane as the Nordictrack Treadmill I bought in 2001 that this replaced had this feature. 3) There is no way (even with iFit) to browse Internet. Although this is not a big deal for me, just misleading advertisement. 4) No where does it say that you need iFit membership for these features to work. The only place it states requiring membership sold separately is accessing iFit account. It is unfortunate that Icon / Nordictrack is determined to force people to buy a $200-$400 / yr to get basic features a treadmill should have (accurate calorie count). I bought this treadmill so I could get the more powerful motor, and expected that calorie count would be as accurate or better than my 2001 treadmill that just was retired with well over 10,000 miles logged. This is the way forward I guess now, recurring revenue is the way of the future.
We have had this a week. I love using the Onboard Apps for a workout. So far, it works well and no problems. It gives you a great workout and lots of choices for speed and incline. I am very happy with our purchase!
It squeeks and feels like it is stopping all the time. I tried calling and I could not get to a live person.
Treadmill arrived in perfect condition. Sears guy and I opened the box and examined everything including the back sides. It checked out. Based on other reviews I and a stick assembled the treadmill carefully. Took me 2 hrs a day for 3 days to carefully put it together. I burn out after 2 hrs. Connected into a surge strip and powered it up. Tied into Wi-Fi no problem but I have a bridge router running close by. Works fine. Have not joined ifit but the included walks worked. I do not use for running.
It's unfortunate that I've only been able to use my treadmill a few times in the last 90 days because of a defective Drive motor. After finally getting someone on the phone to help me they sent me the wrong motor. I had to return the call again and wait another 7 to 10 days to get a correct motor which has not yet arrived so I'll let you know if it's right!
