I ordered this treadmill online and picked up at the store. It is an easy product to put together. The directions were spot on. Just make sure that you follow them exactly in the order it says. You WILL need someone to help you to at least get it to where you want it to be set up. It is a very heavy item. I used a two wheeled dolly I had here at the house to move it to our Rec room. It is easier to assemble if you have a helper with you for assembly also. DO NOT over tighten the information board screws. The plastic is thinner than what I expected. After I put it together and turned it on for use, I was pleasantly surprised at how quite it was while using. All the push buttons worked great and were easy to reach. If you are expecting to use the Google earth routes that it is CAPABLE of using....You have to buy an extra component for that function to work. The directions also recommend that you buy a Electrical surge protector to plug it into. Luckily I had one here at the house. It is also easy to fold up and down with the assist rod that comes with it ! The folding feature is a space saver ! All in all, its a very good treadmill so far. It will work you out well with the programs that come already on the machine. All it needs in my opinion is a built in fan to blow on you as you run or walk. Also, after reading the reviews of some of the other Nordictrack products... I did buy a 3 year extended warranty for this item. The reviews on the other treadmills, cheaper and more expensive, than this 6.5Z were about 50-50 on having problems. It will be serviced in my home if the need arises.
I used the treadmill 5 times and the incline froze at incline 10 while I was using the Weight loss program on the treadmill. The product is still not fixed. I've had 2 parts delivered and it did not correct the problem. I am now waiting for 2 more parts to be delivered to try to correct the problem. Very disappointing to have a product for almost 2 months only to have used it 5 times.
Very sturdy, reliable and easy controls. Affordable end of spectrum and great value.
will be using it much more when i can't get outside its a good unit and I feel like it will hold up well to use.
The treadmill is adequate in that it does what stated. It is not particularly comfortable when compared to Lifecycles at the gym. It is helpful when you cannot get to the gym or when you just don't want to go out. The pulse reader really does not work. It jumps 50-60 points and then comes down the same or more points. Not too important to me because I can tell pretty much when my pulse goes up. Wish you could press the pause button and then resume at the same pace. Everytime you pause, you need to start at 1 and push the speed button up again to where you were. The installers were great and efficient and I would recommend having it set up by the installers as it may be easy for some, not so much for others.
Easy start up!
Used it for fitness during cold weather climate. Incline stop working at 7 months. Called ,emailed NordicTrack for help. One time they asked that the trouble shoot per manual. Let them know it did not work nor fixed the problem. From August to October 1st no help. I will not by a NordicTrack product again and will make sure my friends know about this product and service. Very disappointed.
