4 stars for treadmill - 2 stars for assembly/Sears customer service

Purchased this item 11/11 - was delivered on the 15th. I paid for Sears to deliver and assemble. The gentlemen that came out and assembled this unit did a good job and it appeared they knew they were doing as far as a confident assembly. Plugged in unit - didn't work. Unit was a dud. Had to reorder and wait until the 25th for a new unit to be avail. Had difficulty with sears customer service in setting up newer delivery. Would have thought since I got a bum unit - they could have been more helpful but it was a frustrating experience. The second unit assembly didn't go as well. The guys handling this unit were a different team and didn't have the same level of knowledge, had to reference manual, was rougher on unit and I heard stripping of things while tightening process. Plugged in unit - worked. I was using this unit daily and loved it however until 12/19 looked down and belt had shifted left. This wouldn't have been an issue if the persons who assembled the second unit left my hardware package that comes with the unit. No matter I have many allen wrenches so it really should not have been a problem until I attempted to adjust and realized that yes the bolts for the idle roller screws have been stripped and so I now cannot use the unit and have had to set up a service with Nordictrack to come fix, needless to say not happening until after holidays because they are not around. The Nordictrack customer service was amazing. They are sending the missing allen wrench and new screws. I like the unit very much however the Sears assembly was hit or miss. For future I will most likely buy direct from Nordictrack as they provide a better customer service and hopefully technical service.

Very poorly engineered device!

Very poorly engineered device! This is supposed to be a home workout treadmill, but if you have to stop for more than one minute, it wipes out your progress and you have to start over! It’s not like someone else is waiting to use the machine in my house!!! Apparently the people who designed this never had any responsibilities. Also, I am only interested in seeing the distance and speed displays on the device, but every time that you change speed it takes between 3 and 7 key presses to get it back to those displays. This is distracting, aggravating and makes for unsafe treadmill use. A little more quality and a lot less cheesy programming would make for a much better experience.

Great machine.

Glade we went with the larger treadmill. My wife at 64 yrs can run anytime day or night getting ready for her mini-marathons, 5 & 10 Ks. I at 71 yrs with RA try to walk up to an hour a day holding on to the hand rails. We set it up in the TV room to run/walk while watching our favorite programs..

Replacement treadmill

I really like this treadmill it's quite. There are few quirks I don't like. More like quirks I need to figure out. I wish this treadmill showed Carbohydrates burned. But, really it's a great machine.

Setting it up counts as cardio

|

Set up took 3 days; a few hours at a time after work. Once it was set up, it works fine. I've yet to use the preset work outs, but it does what it's supposed to. The heart rate monitor doesn't work right, but that's ok.
