sears had a great sale, and I looked at two treadmills. the cheapest they had in stock, Proform 24853 and this. I wanted to purchase the proform at first, and went in store to see how it was and if it was a good fit for me. I noticed it was really narrow, almost too narrow for me. I saw this 6.7 model right next to it for not much more, and with the deals that were going on, it was a no brainer to get the best I can afford, plus the extra deals on top. 20" belt is just 2" more than the proform, but it feels WAY wider. check for yourself in person, 2" makes a big difference. also this machine has a lifetime frame warranty vs 1 year on other model, and 25 year motor warranty vs 90 days for the proform. treadmill is great, has quick adjust speeds and incline from 1-10 for each setting. also up and down arrows for both incline/decline as well. it HAS A PLACE YOU CAN STORE YOUR TABLET TOO!!! also has two areas for water/keys/phone 1 on each side. item feels very sturdy when put together (took about 2 hours) 1 hour to remove it out of the box by myself, and another to set it up. this this is heavy so get someone to help you move it. 200lbs and box is around 6 feet long by 40inches wide and 16 inches tall. has adjustable dampeners but i dont really move it much. you can fold this treadmill up to save space, it locks into place and has a shock so when you need to drop it down it goes on its own slowly. good feature. and has wheels you can move this by youself when it's holded up. overall very pleased. 20x55 belt is great, 2.6HP motor. can increase incline in 0.5 increments or you can use quick setting (1-10). speed increases by 0.1 and also has quick setting (1-10). has magnetic safety key when not removed will not turn on but will make sound if you push buttons. this model has the same internals as the 6.5 so you can use that for reviews, only difference is the console (upgraded control board area)
I am very aggravated with this purchase. After purchasing this, lugging a 200 box up to the 2nd floor, spending two hours putting it together, it wouldn't do anything but beep. It requires an iFIT account to activate. That's another $15 a month for at least a year. Calling customer service to explain I didn't want an iFIT account, they transferred me to iFIT and that person said because I bought it at Sears, the machine requires an iFIT account to activate and they could give me a 20% discount. She said Sears should have told me this. All the web site says is iFIT compatible - NOT REQUIRED!!! I argued unsuccessfully before finally handling over my credit card information. After paying and making an account, she told me all I need to do is hold down the iFIT button for 30 seconds to activate the machine. I had to PAY for this information. I am beyond aggravated!!!!!!
No support from Nordic track, cannot get anyone on the phone. Belt is already in need of adjustment after one week. Warped bbelt rubs on frame from poor packing, or design and may be permanent. Had to pay to get the treadmill activated. This was totally un necessary on their part.
I love it! The only thing is they forgot to add the tablet holder piece to the top and it must have been in the box when they took it out. Other than that, very happy!
I read the reviews (for what they are worth...) and bought this Nov 2018. The assembly isn't bad, takes about 90 minutes but you should also have a ratchet wrench on hand. The unit is pretty quiet given it's a treadmill, the controls seem ok and the belt cushioning seems solid as well.
NOTE - When you try to start the treadmill for the first time, it will NOT start...it will just beep at you. What is deceptive, and what NordicTrack doesn't reveal in it's documentation/web site, nor does anyone at Sears know, is that you either have to pay for an IFit subscription to get the treadmill to start OR JUST PRESS AND HOLD THE IFIT BUTTON FOR 10 SECS and it will permanently clear the program block out of memory (you only need to do this the one time, out of the box). You do not need an IFIT subscription to use this treadmill. Because I did not know this upfront, I was so angry trying to start the treadmill that I almost returned it - until I decided to research the issue one more time, and happen to find a review someone posted the day after I bought this which described the over-ride I mentioned above.
