I chose this fire pit because I liked the idea I can wheel it near our creek and then roll it back for storage so I doesn't rust like many fire pits.
If you got this cheap enough (like under $25) I would still recommend it, but you WILL have to constantly be fiddling with it to keep it standing. It's not sufficiently safe as it is. The wheels are a very cheap plastic and the legs don't sit properly on it. The lid does not nit on it properly either. Otherwise, it should have been a good product; I like the size and the idea of the front grate.
I bought it on sale, thinking I might use it for a year or 2... 5 years later, my family and I still love this! Use it about once every other month, more in the late summer/early spring. Holds enough wood for a good fire, has a good wall of protection for little kids. Sturdy and easy to move. The cover is great for protection.
Easy to assemble. One bracket was missing, wasted a lot of time to make it work.
Never accept a box that has been re-tapped.
Nice price and it came on time. It is a little smaller than I thought, but still works ok.
The fire screen does not attach to the base, nor does it fit securely. It would not take much to dislodge it. The screen does not stop sparks from coming out, be conscious of where you use this. Its a nice size, but flawed in other areas, Id give it a C- at best.
The Northwest Territory 20" Fire Pit is a great firepit. We like the wheels for portability and the porcelain coated lid too. It works great. We would buy this again.
