I am not one to write a review but I knew I had to write one for this tent and hope to encourage Northwest to continue making this home tent and only improve on it. I brought this tent for a week family camping vacation in the Muskoka area in Northern Canada. This tent not only withstood high winds and brick falling rain (with only a tarp under the tent and none on the top) it was the talk of the town in the camping site. It looks like a house with almost straight sides which I love and hope Northwest Never changes along with the 2 closets and other accessories. It is spacious and felt extremely roomie without the room dividers (lol. open floor concept :). I love the tub flooring which was helpful with the rain we experienced. I laid out the tent as a living room(blow up love seat/bed and lounger with ottoman), dinning (fold our table with 4 stools) and bedroom (22" blow up full bed) areas with plenty of room. Walking around without having to bend our heads even when to the side of the tents were the envy of all the campers on the site. I am 5'6" which was easy but I had friends as tall as 6'5" that entered and walked around without touching the roof of the tent. When it was not raining we rarely needed to use our fan as the breeze that flows around, over and through the tent when all the windows and door vent is open was wonderful. Every one that visited mentioned how cool the tent felt compare to theirs. My daughter wanted to be a glamour camper in a tent that felt like a home and this fit the bill and stood up to the weather. If you want a tent you don't need to crawl into and have room for more than only sleeping bags, then this is the tent for you. A friend who was staying on for a few more weeks asked and use the tent and had no problem even with the continued rainy weather.
We used this tent for the first time a few weeks ago. It was up for one week with no problems. When we were taking it down, a seam on the back of the tent ripped. We were simply taking the poles out of the frame and not putting any pressure on the tent. We heard a ripping sound, and a 12" rip happened where the back wall attaches to the roof. The tent looks good on paper, but does not hold up. I would not buy it.
I would rate this zero stars right now if I could! First weekend camping with this EXPENSIVE tent and we are currently holed up in the middle of a storm with towels and laundry lying under all of the windows because they are leaking like crazy! This is even after I liberally sprayed 6 cans of water repellant on entire tent and let it thoroughly dry weeks before in preparation of our trip! Literally not a very happy camper right now!!!!
We bought this tent at the end of the season last year and didn't use it until this past weekend. The directions were easy to follow and it only took 20 minutes to put up the whole thing. The space inside of the tent was amazing! We are a family of 4 and had a small table inside to keep everything organized. The first night we had RAIN! And i mean thunder, lightning, RAIN! We did have some drops inside the tent the next morning, but with the intensity of the storm, a couple of drops is great! Once the sun came out, opening the windows allowed for GREAT air flow throughout the tent! Tent is easy to care of, rolls up nicely and the tent and all poles etc, fit into the bag beautifully. Lots of compliments on the tent. I would totally buy this again!
Easy to set up. Very strong we had a very strong storms branches everywhere. tent was great and leak proof. Highly recommend
I've purchased several tents all made by Ozark. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and venture. I purchased the "Northwest Territory Grand Canyon 20x12". I love the 2 closet feature, outside look of a home and how spacious it is but was very disappointed in how it holds up in rain. Even with rain fly tied down, it holds puddles of water at the top of the roof. So afraid it's going to collapse and damage not just the tent but my items inside. The bottom seams leak, even after sealing. I will not recommend or buy again. Wish I can upload photo of puddles at the top but no option. This tent was too expensive to be such a disappointment
