I bought this because I wanted to take my 4 year old camping. It's super easy to set up, the floor mat didn't leak a bit even though we had a bit of a thunderstorm while we were out there. Pretty good airflow for only the one front mesh window. The shoe vent was a cool little idea I hadn't seen before. The shoe mat in front of the tent was pretty neat too. Super easy to set up, it took less than 5 minutes to get it together and to stake it down.
I just spent 5 nights in this tent in Glacier National Park. Here are my observations. Good: Easy to setup, lightweight. Bad: (1) Tent leaks at the midpoint seams and at the door because the water gets through the seam holes. The rain fly protects the tent from water getting in the top seams. Water getting in the tent can be pretty miserable. (2) It's not truly a 9 x 7 tent, more like a 9 x 5.The mfr is including the two wings on either side of the door to justify the 7ft in width. All you can put in those two spaces is two pairs of boots. You can two adults and 2 full backpacks, but don't expect anything else. My advice would be to spend the extra money for a really nice, non-leaking tent, which truly has dimensions of 9 x 7.
The only thing that I was disappointed was I got a red tent instead of the blue and yellow, and if they say you can fit three people in this tent, maybe three smaller people I can’t imagine three large adults It was very easy to set up
I've never gone camping, slept in a tent or put one together before. I've had absolutely no problems with this tent so far. It didn't come with any instructions but I was able to put it together within a few minutes. Tested it out in my backyard and on the first night it rained pretty hard with strong winds. It stayed nice and dry and held together perfectly. I feel like 3 people is doable but in my opinion it may be a little cramped. However, two people fit nicely. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Got this tent in store on sale for 50% off. We needed a tent, this one was cheap so we bought it. It's a wonderful home away from home! Me, my partner, and our dog fit comfortably in here with our luggage. We live in the Eastern Sierra Mountains so we camp (and camp hard) nearly every weekend in the spring and summer. I honestly was so surprised at how well this affordable little tent did. It kept us dry when one camping trip it started to rain which turned in a torrential down pour, thunder and lightning, and then started to SNOW. Woke up to a few inches of snow, but everything inside of the tent was dry. It has stood up against strong 30-40 miles per hour gusts of wind. It is also remarkably easy to set up. Two of my favorite features are "the loft," it's just a little canopy for extra storage that hangs above in the middle, but it's great to set a light on so you can see what you're doing at night. My second favorite thing about this tent is the zipper on the "foot locker." It makes it so easy to toss your shoes in the tent to keep bugs out of them but it's also set away from the main part of the tent so your shoes don't get your sleeping bag dirty. For us, the handy little footlocker zipper seconds as a doggy door for our pooch when we're still up and she wants to go to sleep. I think it really helps save the life span of the main door zipper. Like I said, we camp hard and the zipper on this fella finally gave its last zip about 2 years in. We were going to buy a "nice" tent from somewhere, but we happened by kmart and our favorite tent was on sale again and we couldn't resist buying the same one! 10/10 would recommend for inexperienced and experienced outdoorsmen!
