stone cottage tent

The only complaint about the tent is the size. It is supposed to be 14 x 18 but the only part that is 14 are the two chimneys on the sides. The rest of the tent is only 10 feet wide. Big discrepancy on the size. Other than that, the tent is very good. We were in some heavy rain storms and it only leaked from the bottom sides from the water running under it. Held up very well. It is also a breeze to put up and to tear down! Would recommend this to all.

Not the best decision

|

I bought this tent even after reading the reviews some a plus and some a minus. My first time use was the weekend of  Oct 18th 2018 our last day camping and it rained all day and wouldn’t you know it, it leaked at the corner seams on the floor and at the bottom of the windows causing several things to get wet. With that said the indoor size of the tent is great plenty of room for four comfortably the rope lights were a great touch as well. Didn’t use the drop down screen because you have to have a smart phone with a projector.

A little confusion setting it up

|

I recently purchased this tent and overall the setup was very easy, with the exception of 2 things.

1) The color coded poles were incorrectly color coded. Reading the instructions it was clear that the yellow poles are for the front and back corners, and the pink poles are for the center parts of the tent. However, the hubs sewed onto the tent were incorrectly colored, showing a yellow pole in the middle. No big deal since they all snap in the same, but it threw me off the first time I set it up since the yellow poles are taller. (Called the company, they said incorrect color coding of poles is a common factory error)

2) The two front yellow poles that are at an angle do NOT attach to a metal ring and pin system like all the other poles do. These two poles instead just sit at an angle attached to a hub at their top, but not at their base. This may be an issue once I'm using the tent on a windy day. This definitely seems strange though. No mention of this in the video or the instructions, they just seem to skip over that one part of the setup. So you have 10 poles, 8 of them will fit into corresponding ring/pins, the 2 front yellows, do not. I searched EVERYWHERE for info on this issue, and found nothing. This was my motivation for writing the review actually.

Overall I like the tent. It's HUGE! I have only set it up at home, but look forward to bringing it camping in a couple of weeks.
