Made It My Way

I purchased 2 of the redwood end tables. I saw that there would be no way to place the electric cord through the slat of the wood board plank which would be placed on the top that would be under the top piece of the table to lie flat. So I just put it together without the electric cord. Don't get me wrong, the material which makes this table is worth the price in itself alone. I read in other ratings that with the wire, the top of the end table wobbled, which mine did and that even the 15 watt bulb was clearly visible through the rice paper when turned on. So my brain thought, hey, stack up 2 of those flameless candles instead and I am thrilled. No heat comes from them at all and no worry that the pretty thick rice paper will not burn nor scorch. I am truly thrilled for I used my Sears Card available cash and the internet 20% off price along with picking them up at the store for my convenience for $97 a piece. I'm seriously thinking of getting 2 more in the honey color for the family room. I have about 30 flameless candles I can put to use with these beauties! I hope I can get the 20% off. OH there was NO SALES TAX either!! :)
