Normal use durability
The shorts look nice, but the quality is poor. I bought four pairs of these shorts for work, and every single one of them ripped after just a few washes. Sears did not accept my return, because it was shortly after 30 days. So now I'm out of luck and wasted my money. After this experience, I would never recommend this product or shop for shorts at sears. Btw the sears management did nothing. They made me wait over 20 minutes for a "supervisor" that never came. It seemed like they were hiding. Terrible terrible service...not the sears it used to be.
The good things: Nice quality; excellent shipping; good price. The bad things: I ordered size 42 with 7 inch inseam. I received size 34 with a 10 inch inseam. But the package was received on time! Now I have to go through the hassle of a return. Not conducive to future on line orders. Is expecting what I ordered too much?
Where to begin, First of all, I'd like to thank Sears for this opportunity. It will be the last nice thing I can say about them. I have purchase Outdoor Life cargo shorts from Sears in the past. I loved them. Since I don't like shorts touching my knees these were perfect since they had a 5 inch inseam. Earlier this year I ordered 5 pairs online. The inseams were not indicated but I had no reason to believe they had changed. When they arrived they all had 7 inch inseams - too long. I decided to return them and followed Sear's instructions. Sears says I can return them at any Sears store. I went to my local store in Mentor, OH. They would not accept them because the store is being shut down. I then went to the next closest store in Willoughby, OH. Evidently, a Sears Outlet Store does not fall under the umbrella of any Sears store. No luck there either.
At home I tried to return them online. Their online customer service program refused to accept my return. In actuality, the program is a loop asking me if I wanted to return something, then telling me I could not return anything, then asking me if I wanted to return something, yada, yada, yada.
My next step is to write to Sears and request a refund. If I don't hear from them I will dispute the charge with VISA.
I really used to like purchasing goods from Sears. Too bad it will soon be bankrupt.
