Not a good bed for adults

This bed looks nice but isn't very sturdy. If all you intend to do is get in and out of bed carefully and sleep perfectly still it will be fine. The bed has a lot of sway from the headboard to the foot of the bed frame. I don't think it would hold up for anything other than sleeping. From a wood working point of view it is held together with 8 screws and notes with the nuts being round inserts to particle board on the head and foot. It doesn't have much in the way of head to foot stabilization but from side to side is has four particle boards running the width of the bed frame. It looks nice assembled but, not a practical bed frame due to some week design points. Since it has a "no return" policy I guess I will need to take it to wood shop and try to shore up the flaws. So, much for closing the shop down for the winter....
