The F13 fault code on this type of range indicates that the EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) on the control board is bad. This can be caused by a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. You can try to reset the control board by completely unplugging the range (or shutting off the breaker) for 5 minutes. If the error code returns after plugging the range back in, then the control board for the range will need to be replaced.
If needed, you can order a new control board for your range from the
Sears PartsDirect website
. Use your full model number to order the correct part.
If you intend to replace this part yourself, be sure to
unplug the range
before accessing internal components.
If you do not feel comfortable in replacing the part yourself, I highly recommend scheduling service.
