The Oil light is blinking with "Oil, CH6", on my Sears Garden Tractor, model 917.28860. The oil reads correct on the dip stick. I changed the oil filter as well. What does CH6 mean?

My tractor has 101.4 hours and I changed the Oil (third time), Oil filter and Air Filter at 99.5. I've used it for about 1 1/2 hours and the hour meter is blinking now with "Oil, CH 6, 100.4". The manual does not explain this or what the problem might be. The Oil level reads correctly on the dip stick. There are no leaks from the filter or drain spout. What else can I check? What does CH6 mean? The filter is the correct Sears filter. It was snugged then added another 3/4 to full turn on it. I ran it about and hour after doing all this but today I get this problem.

The hour meter reminds you to change the oil periodically. The CH6 is supposed to be CHG to remind you to change the oil.
The hour meter gives this message after 25 hours of use. You might have not noticed previous reminders, or the hour meter might be bad.
The Oil Chg message will be displayed for 2 hours and go away. You don't need to do anything more than you have done. Ignore the message and if it doesn't go away, replace the hour meter.
