I see your concern about your Garage Door Opener not working with the remote, and it's blinking lights. I found a question in Manage My Life under the Answers button that was similar to the one you asked. I think this information will help you out while waiting for an expert answer. I attached the link below. I hope this helps!!!!!!!

There is a button on the wall console labeled lock. This is the vacation lock and disables the remotes and keypad at the receiver. Press and hold this button in for 2 seconds. Then let go and the light should glow solid again. Do a 2x4 safety reversal test afterward. Run as normal. If you need to download a manual you can at managemylife.com. It requires adobe, there is a plug in there if you don't have that yet. Thanks BB

I've had this same issue, when it's not the vacation lock as mentioned by someone else, you can make the garage door opener blink like this if you hold down one of the remote's buttons too long. Then all the remotes stop working and the wall pad light blinks rapidly. The way to fix it is to push the learn button on the back of the unit and release immediately (don't hold it too long or you'll go into learning mode). On my unit this causes the light to go back to solid and all the remotes work again.
