to the dryer. Once you remove the drum you will have complete access to check the drum rollers, belt & idler. Please follow the disassembly instructions in the image in the link attached below so the reassembly will match the instructions. The drum rollers #21 ride in the groove of the drum for the rear drum support & the front of the drum rest on the front door trim on the felt pad called a seal & bearing, image #44. The trick is centering the drum on the rollers & then put the belt in place while holding the front of the drum up. After installing the belt on the motor & idler pulley manually rotate the drum counterclockwise (watch for razor sharp metal edges) a couple of times until the belt is in alignment. Now, while holding the drum front up with one hand position the front panel on the lower hanging clips #13 with the other hand. Hold the drum up & push the front panel lip with the felt pad under the lip of the drum front. Hold the front panel tight against the drum while securing the 2 screws holding the front to the sides. After securing rotate the drum manually counterclockwise a couple times to check for anything binding up. Be sure the rear drum felt is not folded. I have provided you with step by step instructions with pictures from the service manual in the link attached below. Remember to
disconnect power to the dryer
before attempting access. NOTE: I recommend replacing the slide idler #36 with the roller idler; 691366 $15.77
