Lawn Tractor rear bagger compatibility

Present lawn tractor (14.5hp/42" mower deck) is about 20 years old - just a few years ago, I bought a 2 bin rear bagger - I was amazed, it fit like a glove and worked beautifully. Now that tractor is need of some major work - I opted to buy a new unit (LT1500? - 17hp / 42" mower deck) - but, before I could remember to think if the old bagger would fit the new unit, I had committed to the purchase. Now I've come to find the old bagger and the new tractor are quite incompatible. What can I do? Is there an adaptor kit that I can purchase? Can I make some kind of home-made bracket connection? Can I use self-tapping screws to go thru the black frame area under the seat? Also, the lower chute profile does not match up very well to the new mower deck - I can mount it, but there are substantial gaps, which will hurt performance.
What is the web-site where I can SEE the owners manual for a new bagger, should I have to go this route.
