Why won't my Fisher-Paykel washer finish the cycle?
Report This
I have a Fisher-Paykel washer model number WA37T26GW2-96133A. The washer it will not advance to the next step after washing. It makes a humming noise like its trying to do something but can't. It won't drain the water and spin. I've checked the pump and its fine. What's going on with the washer and how do I fix it?

From the description you give I suspect the drain pump may be the problem.
If I understand correctly the washer will fill and wash but won't advance from there. You hear a humming noise which I suspect is the drain pump. You say the pump checked okay but you don't make clear how you checked this. Did water drain out?
The image below contains the instructions to enter the diagnostic test and how to run the drain pump.

If you're getting a fault code 40 it's bowl disengagement and tells you a service technician is required.
Simply take off the agitator and below that is the clutch spline drive. There are three screws holding down the cover that have worn through and is letting the clutch slip. It's part number 479318P and costs approximately $45. Good luck!
