Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher Model 665.1326 Will not drain completely
Report This
I purchased and installed a brand new Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher Model 665.1326 approximately 3 months ago. The past few times I have used it, when the cycle completes, there is still a couple of inches of water remaining in the bottom of the tub. The water is not completely draining. I checked the garbage disposal system and airgap for obstructions. I removed and cleaned the hoses and the issue still remains. I don;t see how the drain hoses could be clogged since the filter and screen at the bottom of the machine would prevent large food particles from entering the drain hose. I'm not sure what else to troubleshoot. This machines is brand new and should not be having issues. Please help. Thanks!!

The dishwasher being brand new and not draining can be very aggravating. I did find some information for you that I am hoping will help you with the dishwasher. I am adding the links below to help you with your question while you wait for your expert response. The first two links are for troubleshooting and the last link is to setup service. I do hope that this will help you out.

If your Kenmore dishwasher is not draining properly and its brand new installation, you might want to go over the installation. The link I am providing may be helpful while waiting for an expert response within 24-48 hours

I installed the dishwasher about 3 months ago and it has been running perfectly until this issue arose this week. I did clean out the garbage disposal and checked the drain hose and air gap that are attached and cleaned both hoses out with a "snake". I can;t seem to find an obstruction any place. Not sure what else to try short of removing the entire unit to look at the drain house that is under it. I can't see how something could be trapped in that hose since the filter and screen should have prevented anything large from traveling into the drain hose. Hmmmmm....

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.
Since the dishwasher is covered under a one year warranty you will need to call and set up a service appointment. This specific model should be diagnosed and repaired by a service technician. It is likely a mechanical issue more so than a restriction.
You could also void your warranty if you were to proceed to fix it yourself.
You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

Thanks! I already verified my 1 year warranty and have a Sears tech coming on Monday. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it. Thanks!
