Craftsman weed eater 358.791010 primer bulb won't pull gas
I just replaced both fuel lines on my weed eater after 6 years of use. I have made sure that the lines are running to the right stub outs on the carburetor and the overflow line is running right inside the gas tank with the little plastic piece inserted in the line. The intake line is running about two-thirds of the way down and across the gas tank where it can get fuel with the fuel filter on the end. When I press the primer bulb it goes down easy and comes up easy but it is not pulling any gas from the tank. I thought it may be something with the filter so I detached the filter and reinserted the line in the gas tank and pumped the primer bulb for about a minute and still nothing. I then read on one of the post on this site where someone mentioned it could be a problem with the primer bulb itself but I detached both fuel lines and put my finger over the stub outs and pressed the primer bulb and the build seemed to stay depressed until I pulled my finger from over the stub outs which was after about 20 seconds. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Tia.
