How do you replace PAWL on Craftsman Incredi pull weed eater model # 316731930

Somehow the pull start does not turn the clutch to start the weed eater. I pulled the starter housing off and nothing appears broken? There are two white plastic pieces on the flywheel where the line pull attaches to it. From the position on the flywheel, I'm sure these are what turns the flywheel when you pull the pull cord to start it. Help :)

flywheel turns fine. Somehow the pull start, became seperated ( for the lack of a better word) from the flywheel? so when I pulled the rope, it just pulls out and goes back in and does not turn the fly wheel.

springs are in place. Can't see in to see the PAWS engage and that is part of my problem. Don't know what position the PAWS should be in when I connect the starter back to it. Maybe that is the problem? The PAWS should be in location without having to adjust them or put them in a certain position? Rope pulls and retracts normally, but does not engage the flywheel to start the weedeater.
