How do you clear the CL code on a Kenmore Elite dryer?

This is sometimes referred to as child lock and is meant to prevent accidental option or cycle changes while the dryer is running. Check the keypads and look for a small padlock emblem. This is the keypad that turns the control lock feature on or off by pressing and holding the switch. If a model number is provided I can provide the keypad to press to turn off the control lock feature.

Well, that didn't work. Any other ideas? I've already had the tech out once for this.

I have the same question about clearing the CL code. Mine is model 61422. Initially it said clear filter, and I have done all clearing of lint that I can find. I hope there is a reset code somewhere, and holding the lock down did not work for me.

For my dryer, you have to hold the CL button for 5 seconds.

Press and hold the DRUM LIGHT button for five seconds to activate or deactivate the CONTROL LOCK.
