If the washer will fill and agitate and the only problem is that it makes noises when it goes into spin then the most likely cause of the noise is the clutch and/or basket drive. The clutch spring and break and cause a rattling noise in spin.
If the washer will not go into spin at all then usually the problem is the lid switch.
To check each of these problems requires the outer cabinet to be removed. The image below contains the instructions needed to remove the outer cabinet from the washer so parts can be checked. Your particular washer has two end caps that must be removed to access the two screws holding the console down.
The lid switch is a good do-it-yourself project but the clutch and basket drive is a repair I'd recommend a technician do unless you're extremely comfortable and confident with your do-it-yourself abilities.
