Error Code Er 1F on new Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

Got a new Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Refrigerator less than one month ago. P/N MFL62184-417, Model number 795.72053.110, serial number 107KR00736. Fridge will not dispense water or ice. Fridge still has power (obviously, or wouldn't display the error code). Still maintaining temperature. Ice dispenser is free of jams/clogs. Water supply valve is on. Dispenser still has ice in it. Worked just fine for the past 3 weeks, up until today. Has not been moved since initial install. Use & Care Guide has no info on error codes. Kenmore connect is not open 24/7. Any ideas? Thanks!

I agree - this is a known problem for apparently many customers. They should recall the product. I'm going to report it to the Federal Trade Commission. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0228-solving-consumer-problems

Ours just got the same error code after only 18 months. Obviously they're using cheap components or there's a deficiency in the product. We paid over $3.,000 for this Kenmore refrigerator and I'm more than ticked I have to pay for repair and service and buy insurance to cover their defective product - this problem is documented back to 2011

I am with you. I have to defrost my freezer on a 4 year old, top of the line Kenmore Elite refrigerator every 3-4 weeks. I absolutely HATE this. They came out 3 times while under warranty to clear Ice from inside the back wall of freezer.
