I am sending you 3 images showing removing and replacing the connector and the latch that holds it.
Use a small screwdriver as shown to release the tabs on the latch on the connector. When the latches are released the latch assembly and the terminal plate will slide out of the connector. Notice how it comes apart for easy installation of the new one.
When the terminal plate is removed the adapter and hose will slide off the connector. Release the tabs that hold the hose to the adapter and put the hose on the new adapter if you have one.
You need to position the terminal plate inside the adapter before sliding the adapter and hose on the new connector.
The latch and terminal plate have to slide under the small guides on the connector.
