ProForm 535X Slipping Belt

I was running on my ProForm 535X the other night when I stepped and the belt almost came to a stop. I got my weight off the belt and it seemed to travel just fine. But as soon as I try to walk to run on it, the belt travel completely bogs down. It was running just fine a for several months prior.
I saw another post with a similar problem and the test for lubrication. Ran the test and was able to ride the belt all the way to the floor just fine. At a 2 mph setting it seemed like the belt was stopping while the front roller was still turning.
Can it be fixed or do I need to start looking for a new treadmill?
