Chair is OK but purchase was TERRIBLE

We figured out the next morning (today) that we paid more for it in the Store (90 miles away from us) than we would have online but no one cares to help us at Sears, to get our difference refunded. The store manager won't even speak to us, the sales person was clueless, and we were taken advantage of because we are retired people that shop in an actual store. We trusted them for consistent pricing but was fleeced by trickery. The chair is working, though, day 1 - small but works so far.

Chair is OK but purchase was TERRIBLE

|

We went to the Baton Rouge store to purchase 2 recliners and they had some display models on sale. We asked for the manager to purchase 2 at a special price and they wouldn't even come over to talk to us. So we just bought this one at 299 plus tax. Salesman had trouble ringing it up. When we picked it up at package pickup both other customers were just picking up online purchases (both said it was cheaper that way). When we got home we checked this chair and it was cheaper online - 20 bucks, not a lot, but we are on a fixed income pension. Anyway, no one cares - contacted various Sears numbers the next day and they all either don't care or tell me it is not their job to refund the difference. Who knew you have to check their website before every purchase or risk being overcharged for the same item. A terrible way to fleece retail store customers. Oh, as for the chair, and as of day one it still works, but it is a bit smaller than our other recliners.
