Plenty of Space
Wow my dishes are dry at the end of a cycle. We have had numerous stainless steel interior dishwashers over the years and the dishes were always wet after the cycle was done. Our new Samsung is great...as soon as the cycle is done the door pops open slightly to allow the dishes to dry. Such a simple idea but really helpful. Our second favorite feature is the third rack. It's so quick to load utensils. Our old dishwasher with a third rack was designed so we had to lay the utensils in one by one which took a lot longer than I would have liked. Our new Samsung basically allows me to just drop the silverware on the rack and the cones on the rack spread them out. It saves me at least five minutes each time I load it compared to my old one. It's also extremely quiet...so quiet that we don't even know it's running. The wi-fi connectivity is pretty cool...I don't use it a lot but it is nice to know when the cycle is done when my Samsung app alerts me. Most importantly it has really powerful cleaning ability. Our kids eat a lot of peanut butter which seems to always dry on to the plates. Our last dishwasher struggled to remove it but the dishes come out of this dishwasher spotless. It's quite remarkable how strong it is. It must be the water wall technology the salesperson told me about because it works extremely well. Overall best dishwasher I have ever owned and highly recommend.
We have just finished new home construction and I recentlystarted using my Samsung dishwasher. I would say that the person who designed how this washer loads has never used a dishwasher before. Seriously. It is the worst loading dishwasher I have ever owned. To get my plates to fit in the bottom rack (10.75") I had to discard the upper flex rack--which I was very excited about--now it's unusable, so that I could raise the upper tray to get my plates and several small pots in the bottom rack. Additionally, the silverware holders have such big holes in the sides that my silverware pokes out thru them making it impossible to slide the rack in and out. My husband is going to buy some stainless steel screen and try and retrofit the holders to make them usable. Also, the metal used in the racks and for positioning is very flimsy. I would actually give this a one star but I gave it two because at least it is very quiet and I do like the fact that the door opens automatically when the wash is done, and it is nice looking.
It is very quiet. I will admit that. One has to see if the light is on to ensure it is running. However, after 10 months it no longer works. The place I bought it from has had a technician out here 4 times due to noise and leaking. They have not been able to fix either. Once the error code for a leak displays (LC) the dishwasher does not run. So, since November (it is now mid Jan) I have not been able to use this dishwasher. Thank goodness it is still under warranty. I suspect Samsung only puts a 1 year warranty on it because it is a piece of junk. Also, when it does run it cleans great and I was happy with it. Too bad it no longer runs. At this pricepoint, I expect much better quality.
Dishwasher is dying in its first year. LC errors .... Does start at times
This dishwasher is so easy to use, does a great job cleaning, and is super quiet! You can easily forget that it is running, and won't remember until it's done!
I purchased this more or less on a whim. I have used it for about 2 months now and have not had any issues with it at all. I think my only complaint is that on a few textured plastic plates my toddler son uses it appears to leave trace amounts of detergent. I am still experimenting with different brands of soap so as of now I am blaming that. Glass and ceramic dishes come out so shiny its hard to tell that some of them are 10 years old.
This thing is definitely powerful - everything comes out squeaky clean flawlessly every time. There are a few issues, however:
Samsung put the cart before the horse with the app support. I had this almost 9 months before the "Smart Things" app supported it. Furthermore, add this to your list of devices is unpredictable. I had to try it no less than 6 times over two different days, then finally it just worked.
The door automatically opens when the cycle is done. That's great, but it fails to do so every once in a while. Now after about a year, the door no longer just cracks like it's supposed to. It opens all the way up and falls to the floor. I bought a 5 year warranty, so I'm sure the tech can patch me right up either way. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
