The sound is great

it has amazing sound for such compact equipment however it was hard to find the right optical cable (and expensive). They need to include all the cables you may need.

Synch?

Save yourself the trouble: It sounds good, the price is ok, but just wait a few months and all of a sudden it won't work. One of the many problems associated with this product is the optical in: it just cuts out. If you look up problems with this model on a simple google search, they are numerous. Then one day your sub woofer will simply un-synch and stop working. I have a three year protection agreement, so Sears took it back, took almost three weeks to get it back. Of course, they said nothing was wrong and it worked, for about 3 months. Then the weird stuff started happening: It just started turning itself on and WILL NOT TURN OFF. I had to unplug it. Then the whole system de-synched itself with my TV. What had been fairly easy, as it turned itself on with the synched remote and I could change the volume with TV remote? No more. Reset? Didn't help. And guess what has happened now? All of a sudden, the subwoofer just decided to un-synch itself again. To say that I want my money back is an understatement.

Good first time speaker

|

It seems to us when we use this speaker, it is not quite in sync with the volume on the TV so there is a weird lag that we hear with the voices.

One Tragic Flaw

|

This is an awesome sound bar for the price. It's a great way to add depth to your audio. The single problem is that your Samsung TV remote will not turn your sound bar on. It can change the volume and turn it off, but it can't and won't turn it on. The sound-bar is unlikely to be programmable into your universal remote, so you MUST keep the remote handy to do nothing other than turn the sound-bar on. This is quite silly. If Samsung were to update firmware of something to fix this problem, I would give this product overwhelming support.

Way too quiet, even for a small room

|

Do not buy this for anything other than a device that you sit RIGHT in front of. It is too quiet for a living room or tv. It is about equally loud as the regular plasma tv speakers. The sound quality sounds nicer but you cant turn it up very loud. It is about as loud as someone talking to you in a normal voice.
