Owned a 20-year old Sharp Carousel table top microwave prior to this Samsung. A contractor installed it above a matching gas range. Everything works great. Light/fan do the job. Heats well. Size works great for everyday needs. I like the keypad location on the side. I've read reviews that warn against keypads located below the door, which can get moisture damage from range top cooking.
I purchased this April 30, 2016. Today is December 28, 2016. 2 days ago, I had to call to request service on this microwave. The sensor cooking function stopped working. Whenever I go to use it, I get the message "e-11." I don't know if this is an easy fix or not, but regardless, no consumer should have to request service on an appliance that is less than a year old.
Beautiful sleek design, great functionality and a great price from Sears.
I like the features and the ease of use and the sensing unit..
I bought this microwave in October and when I went to install it there was a problem with the door closing. When I called Samsung they said the damage wasn’t covered as I didn’t report it within 48 hours. After fighting with them for a week they finally agreed to replace the microwave . Now my new microwave that I’ve had for three weeks has a blown transformer and I’m waiting for the parts to come in for that to be repaired . Not impressed .
Bought this m/wave along with 3 other Samsung appliances 6 mths ago. Not happy with any of them. Samsung makes great TV's and cell phones but the appliances come up short in my opinion. The clock on the m/wave loses about 1 min/mth. The button for the light is positioned between the timer and turntable on/off button. The various on/off, hi/lo/off positions are a little confusing. The hi/lo/off button has to be pressed exceptionally hard to actuate.
