Great buy for the price.
Completely stopped working right at the 2 year mark. Light and display started randomly flickering then shutting off all power as the door was opening or closing. Husband is handy & knows electronics- so he took it apart. Something technical with the circuitry was faulty, not quite making the connection. (I don’t know specifics, just heard a lot of grumbling and "that’s not right”.) He did get it to work again, and for a few weeks, it seemed okay. Now it’s back to flickering and not working, and the inside fan (which the husband did not fiddle with, by the way!) is not always working. It’s NOT right. We had higher expectations from Samsung. There’s no way I would recommend this microwave. Very disappointing to have a basic appliance so poorly manufactured that it dies out after only 2 years. The door closes hard. There’s really no way to gently latch it. That may have been a contributing factor to the demise. Sad. We liked it, when it was properly functioning. We expected a much longer life for this appliance!
Purchased on sept 13 2019 had to wait a week for it to come in and it stopped working today oct 19 2019
I received the microwave on May 23rd 2019. I opened the top of the box but did not remove it completely. My old Samsung microwave was working erratically so I was waiting for it to completely go out and six weeks later it did. I removed the new one completely from the box and noticed it had a crushed area in the rear. Samsung sent a tech out to look at it and said they would repair it or make sure that it was safe to operate. The tech said it probably had internal damage but he did not have authorization to open it up to make any checks or repairs. The fact they won't repair the cosmetic damage is upsetting enough; but not making sure the unit is safe to operate is totally different. This item could literally explode, catch fire, irradiate my family, or worse. I have spent about 4 hours on the phone with Samsung and its repair vendor and still all I have is a giant worthless paperweight. To add insult to injury I'm also the unproud owner of the infamous Samsung fridge which is under a class action suit since leaks water and freezes. I own more Samsung products than any other brand. I will be rectifying this as I no longer have faith in their products or the company as a whole.
Ordered on line, paid, never delivered, Very disappointed. Sears.com wont answer the phone. Sears better call me. Extremely disappointed. Will cancel all relations with Sears.
first time i try to cook some popcorn in it, the turntable cracked!!! the default timer was 3 minutes and i even turned it off at 2:30, when i opened the door there are broken glasses all over!
