Not flexible enough

This Refrigerator is wonderful in every way, except for the shelves. They need to be split and there needs to be more flexibility in how they can be positioned. There just isn't enough flexibility with shelves that go all the way across and that is this refrigerator's biggest draw back.

This product has a problem with water forming under the fruit bins

I always loved Samsung products until I purchased this fridge. I don't mind spending extra for a good product but when you have to pay an addition $250 to fix a design flaw that should have been for free since the fridge was under two years old it's significantly dissapointing. A product like this should never have a flaw of water draining into the bottom of the bins. I had a 20 year old fridge that still works fine in my basement. Technology like this should get better in time not worse. I enjoy Samsung but will do more research on specific Samsung products before I dive in and buy one.

Pretty But Noisy

|

Pros: Looks nice, Fits a small space
Cons: Very noisy

I've had this refrigerator for a little over a week. I was so pleased to find a french door refrigerator that fits in my kitchen! The doors are great and it's pretty roomy given the size. However....as soon as it was installed I was concerned about how loud it was. I sounded like a plane was getting ready to takeoff in my kitchen. I let it settle in for a bit, but found it to still be very noisy. It's to the point where it's unpleasant to be in that part of the house when the compressor is running. I figured there must be something wrong with it because I had read the reviews where people talk about how quiet and lovely this unit is. I had the technician out and he measure it at 58.8 decibels, which is just above the level of loud rain or a normal conversation. He said as long as it's under 60 dB, it's within spec. Maybe I got unlucky with having a unit that runs at the far end of their specs, but I'm an unhappy customer. I'll be staying away from Samsung purchases in the future.

Loud, loud, loud, noisy

I bought this for its counter-depth feature. But it's so noisy that I hear the compressor noise upstairs. I have never owned a fridge this noisy! It's a piece expensive junk.

Disappointed

|

After only 2 years, I am experiencing the same issue for a second time. The coils freeze up and I have to empty both the freezer and the refrigerator to let the appliance defrost. Luckily I have a very old whirlpool refrigerator in the basement to help me out during this huge inconvenience.

I am currently renovating a fixer upper and was adamant about getting Samsung appliances. Not anymore. Truly disappointed.

Back porch works better

|

This is the third one of this fridge since December 4, 2018. The first was delivered damaged so I don't know how it would have performed. The second and third refrigerators had identical problems. The fridge does not hold a consistent temperature. You can set it at 34 which is the lowest, and your fresh food section will not drop below 42. That's nasty! The freezer builds up ice so clearly this is NOT a frost free unit. Ball bearings will fall out of the freezer door tracks. And you will also lose the ability to open the freezer completely. Two refrigerators - identical issues. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!!! It's colder outside on a mild New England winter day than it is inside this unit, at least we have that to fall back on. We do not have the ice maker connected so I don't know how that works.

The shelves are not fully adjustable. This fridge is not ideal for anything tall. Put it in your nursery for baby food jars, it would probably hold those perfectly. Just don't open them or they'll spoil from being too warm.
