I purchased this refrigerator Oct 2016 and in July it stopped cooling so Samsung sent a third party out which took 3 days. The technician came out and said it was an HVAC problem which is a leak in the system that hold the refrigerant. It took another 8 days for a qualified technician to come out and change the dryer. This unit worked for another few months and 6 days after the warranty the unit would not cool. It took 2 days to get the HVAC technician to come out and he had to order a new condenser. He came back out to put in the condenser and another dryer and the unit still had a leak. At this point the HVAC system has a 5 year warranty. The technician can't repair the problem and does not know where the leak is so Samsung is changing out the unit. I am still fighting with Samsung a food chaim for $150 for the last 4 months. The customer service was no good. It appears that the replacement department is a little better. I hope for a full refund because I will stay away from Samsung.
I have had the refrigerator for about a week and am very satisfied with the purchase. The refrigerator is very quiet other than the ice-maker, which does make some noise, but not any louder than other ice-makers I have had experienced. Their is plenty of storage and the shelves can be adjusted easily.
DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS!! BUYER BEWARE!! Fridge is good, but I ordered the fridge online and scheduled delivery. The Next day they called and said they can not deliver for three weeks but they have it in stock at the store. They said they would cancel my order and change it to instore pickup. This was Sep 04th 2018 and I still have not been refunded. I now have paid for two fridges but only have one and SEARS refused to process a refund. They tell me it will be processed in 48 hours, been getting the same song and dance for 6 months now. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS!!!!! THEY BILL TWICE AND DO NOT RETURN MONEY!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM SEARS unless you can afford to pay twice.
Not quiet at all! very noisy! Comes with very loud running sound and other weird sound! Even after service!

Poor design and engineering will cause this unit to fail right around warranty. They have an aftermarket kit to repair shoddy engineering that costs 25.00. Getting to that kit might cost you $500.00 in repairs. It will freeze up, make strange noises and not drain properly without it. Never buy a Samsung without a screen.
