Good quality

Overall good quality and features. However, I am disappointed with the ice maker as it's in the refrigerator compartment lending itself to melting ice and smaller cubes.

Ice Maker Leaking - Check the forum

After just a month over 1 year of use, the ice maker is leaking water down the ice shoot and into the fridge compartment. I thought perhaps it was just the warm weather lately. But, it hasn't been all that warm. So, I searched the Samsung forums and found that it is a chronic issue that they don't seem to have a solution to. Search the web for Ice Maker leaking for this unit. I am in constant fear I'm going to wake up one morning and find water all over my hardwood floors!

DO NOT BUY

|

Ice maker after one year WILL begin to not function properly. Housed in the refrigerated section, the caulk used to seal the ice maker to the side of the refrigerator will dry out and crack - thus allowing warm refrigerated air into the ice making unit. This creates water leaks as ice near the front of dispenser melts and ice will cake up and not dispense from ice bucket. Additionally, ice will freeze up the auger preventing it from dispensing ice. Refrigerator is roomy, refrigerated drawer is great! Would love the room back that the ice maker takes up - as we have to purchase ice in bags and keep in freezer. Shame on Samsung for still making the refrigerator and shame on retailers for still selling it. Samsung continues to make $$ on replacement parts (destined to fail) and repair shops make $$ coming out to your home to fix a unit that has 2 technical service bulletins - and no permanent fix.

This is the 2nd submission of my review. The first review was not posted - thus why the refrigerator appears to have way too many positive reviews Contact any owner of this refrigerator - that has had it for more than 1 year.

Disappointed

|

After owning a few Samsung of cell phones, I decided to try the appliances. Big mistakes. The refrigerator works great but the freezer had not. The heating element to defrost had been replaced twice already.

Ice Maker is a Royal Pain!

|

The ice maker in this fridge is junk. It freezes all the time and we are currently waiting for the technician to come out for the second time to fix it again. He told us last time that this is a common issue with this refrigerator, you know that's true when you look at the 18 1-star reviews and they all mention the ice maker freezing. I question why there isn't a permanent solution to fixing this problem if it's such a common problem. And why is it still for sale when the issue is so common and hasn't been fixed?

I purchase this product about a month ago love almost everything about it except for the shelves on the ice maker side they are to small for anything
Could be a little taller for the refrigerator side no room for tall bottles to stand up
