AMAZING VERSATILITY AND SPACIOUS INTERIOR LAYOUT

I rarely give five stars, but for this product there were a lot of good reasons. This refrigerator is seriously big, yet it fits into my small galley-style kitchen, and with only two inches on either side, one of which is against a wall, the four doors open wide to reveal even more interior space than I was expecting. That said, it’s important to know that while the Samsung spec shows the width of the fridge with the doors closed to be exactly the same when the doors are open, this is not true. The fridge is one and a half inches wider on each side when the doors are open parallel with the walls of the fridge. The top two doors provide access to refrigerated space with multiple glass shelves that have many options in height adjustment. An especially clever idea is the shelf where one half slides in on itself, allowing for the placement of tall items in that space. Super handy for some of my jars and bottles that are just too tall to fit on the door. And the LED lighting is so bright and spectacular that I can see every item at a glance even if it’s at the back of a shelf! And speaking of the doors, there are multiple plastic “bins” that can be completely removed which makes them easy to clean by placing in the sink and washing, instead of the usual awkward wipe down with a sponge. The one tiny criticism I would have of the door bins is that one end of some of the bins on the left door are very narrow and there’s not a lot of items that could fill these spaces. I realize the shape of these bins is to accommodate the ice maker and I’m not sure if there’s any way around that. The bottom left compartment is the freezer with sliding clear fronted bins and I love this as it’s easy to see and remove what’s in each bin. There are also fully removable door bins here too. And the best part? The bottom right compartment is called the Flex Zone and can be set at four different temperatures – use it like a fridge, use it like a freezer, or choose one of two other settings in-between. This versatility is one of this fridge’s most outstanding features. The outside of the top door can dispense crushed or cubed ice, and chilled water. And right above it is a control panel that allows you to change the temperature of the fridge or freezer compartments including a very handy feature called Power Cool and Power Freeze. This feature lets you crank up the cold in the fridge or freezer if you want to cool or freeze something in a hurry – so useful after bringing home the groceries on a hot day! Another feature I like is that there’s an alarm you can turn on that will alert you if the fridge door is left open longer than 2 minutes. I am extremely happy with my choice of this Samsung Flex refrigerator and it’s everything I hoped for. The appliance is made from very good quality materials, nothing flimsy or cheap looking. An added bonus is that the stainless steel finish on the doors does not show fingerprints as badly as many other products with a similar finish, so a quick wipe every few days keeps it looking clean and shiny. If you’re looking for a fridge with loads of space, lots of versatility on how you use that space, and above average customer service – Samsung called me to make sure the fridge had delivered safely, was installed and fully functional, and that I was happy – this is the appliance that should be top of your list.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Love the design of the Flex......BUT the closed system stopped working, fridge did not work, took almost a month to get a new one. that means no fridge in my house and Samsung could care less, their support is the worse!!!! All they do is read from a script and tell you the next step will take 5-7 days. Once I got a new fridge, the door was dented and the delivery company said they would take care of it, which they did not and Samsung told me too bad, I accepted it. I should have turned it away....and go through another month of no fridge. Only 3 weeks after getting this fridge, the ice maker froze up, cleaned it and now another month and it froze up again. Even though this was a brand new fridge, I have no warranty on it, so it is my problem. NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!!!!

Complete Garbage! On my 3rd Refrigerator!

|

Love the look of the refrigerator, I'm on my third one. Thank God for a Big Box Store and extended warranty I get to have them replaced. Know to have recalls for ice makers, had mold inside ice shoot, now the third on the water and ice doesn't work and can't unlock the refrigerator! I had a Samsung Grilling Microwave, Flex Dual Range Oven they never worked right either. Those were replaces as well from the Big Box store due to extending warranty. Save your money!

Ice maker does not work

|

I purchased this 4-Door Flex a year and a half ago. I am a 72 year old handicapped veteran and I have never had the funds to purchase a Samsung!! But finally I had a few extra bucks and I bought, what I thought, was the "best you can buy" NOT. The ice maker needs to be manually defrosted every 2 weeks. WHY? ?because someone thought that it would be fine to put the ice maker IN THE REFRIGERATOR, NOT THE FREEZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not an engineer, but it is common sense to put ice cubes in a location that FREEZES!!! I had repairmen come to my house several times and tried to fix it. And EACH of them said that Samsung did not have a way to fix the ice maker. What is Samsung going to do now??

finger print gard nope, ice maker defective

|

it is basically a good fridge, I cannot not recommend it, allthough we had to get 2 doors replaced as scratched before delivery, then the Ice maker didn't work very well, so samsung sent out a repair man, who did fix it, an told us that was a common problem with Samsung ice makers. You think for the price all should be working well from the get go! Dont believe what they tell you about the finger print gard, doesnt work at all!

The features are good

|

We bought this French door frig about 3 hrs ago. We have had the ice maker replaced once already. The ice maker still does not produce ice properly. There is frost build up in the ice maker and ice does not drop into the dispenser tray with auger. I have to usually once a month defrost it with a hairdryer. We are very unhappy with it! When the ice machine is working it is the noisiest of any unit I have ever owned!
