Just purchased this refrigerator about a week ago but just realized the poor LED lighting on the ice/water dispenser display. Only a small red light displays under your choose of water, ice crush, or ice cube. The water, ice crush, or ice cube displays do not light up. There also is no light in the area where your glass goes to hit the **** to activate the water dispenser. Very poor design. I am returning my refrigerator due to this poor design. I am purchasing the step up model# RS25H5111SR; per the company, this model has a light for dispensing.
Too bad I can't upload a photo. I took a claw hammer and smashed the **** out of this POS. This is so poorly designed, it is unbelievable. A refrigerator should get cold enough to freeze water. Of course I wouldn't set it that cold, but I like really cold drinks. At the maximum (coldest setting) doesn't even come close to freezing. I would call the water temp "cool" not "cold." I called their tech support and after they had me run through a bunch of nonsense, they told me to wait 24 hours and it should be fixed. It wasn't. Why? Because it's a poor design. The interior light is poorly designed. The ice CUBE dispenser gives you cubes and some crushed ice mixed. Again poor design. The ice maker jams on occasion because again, poor design. The refrigerator is level, yet still makes noises from time to time that's not the ice maker. The door is not self closing. Not even close. I can open 10 degrees and let it go. Without a push, it stays open. Again POOR design. To not even have a self closing door in the year 2018 is unreal. This unit is about 3 months old and cost me $1300 w/tax and delivery. To show everyone how serious I am about making my point and getting rid of this pile of ill-conceived junk, please see the photos.
Purchased this item and it was delivered 6/8/2019. The delivery seemed to go smooth and the staff left quickly. I go to check out the fridge and no water comes out of the dispenser. I find that the keypad is completely dead. I call the drivers cell which he called me on but no answer. I call customer service and after a 40 minute wait time find out Sears uses third party delivery and customer service.The phone staff is the worst I have dealt with. I dropped by the store today and spoke to a manager and he informed me they are getting many customer complaints over the third party service.
So excited when I bought it, so unhappy when I got home & saw it. Display on front has grey printed words with no backlight, can't read it! The blue LED lights on the inside are WAY too dim, I can't see in the drawers either! Water isnt coming out of dispenser cold.
This is a PS to a review I wrote a while back, not sure I wrote this in it but, the ice maker is one of the worst I've ever had. let me count the ways.
First off the title states "LED LIGHTING" Well the only thing that's lighted are the symbols. THERE IS NO LIGHT WHEN YOU USE IT. So if you go in at night for water, you don't want to turn on the lights so you don't want to wake anyone, you start filling your glass and you can't see what you're doing.
Secondly, THIS IS THE NOISIEST ICE MAKER I'VE EVER HEARD. I hear it all the time and at night while i'm in bed.
Thirdly, when you start to get ice, it takes a while for it to start but then you get 1,2 maybe 3 cubes, then you get about a pound of ice screaming out all over the floor.
Sorry I bought it. Hope it blows up soon so I can get something different.
