Beautiful picture. Vivid colors. Sharp detail. This TV really does upscale HD programming to 4K - or at least makes it better. After reading many reviews on this site and other sites I chose this TV over others. Setup was easy. Two things I did before setup was to purchase a premium, high speed HDMI cable as my other cable was HDMI 1.0 and download the latest software update and store it on a USB stick. After setup, I immediately updated the software. So, so far I have experienced none of the complaints that I have seen in other reviews. I started with Dynamic picture setting and adjusted it to our preferences from there. Everyones taste will be different so don't be afraid to make adjustments.
Had an older Samsung flat screen TV. Loved it. Bought this new TV, and there are ADS on the home screen. I love it when i spend hundreds of dollars on something to be shown ads which I can't disable. To have pre-installed apps which I can't delete. Unbelievable. Will probably return tomorrow, but not before writing a terrible review anywhere I can find.
6 months out of warranty the TV is deffective. I am unable to see any picture on the left side of my screen. I couldnt imagine a TV being broken and out of warranty in LESS than 2 years. 2 years!!! Will have to buy a new TV but it certainly won't be Samsung.
Love the tv, but we have an issue where the sound is delayed when we turn on tv.... once we turn on tv it takes a couple minutes and playing with the volume before there is any sound. We have gone through all settings, help!
Having been a Samsung fan I bought this TV without checking all the details :-(
Unfortunately I found that there is no Bluetooth! These days, one would expect this as a basic connection option. I don't know whether it can be added as a firmware update.
I also have connected a wireless keyboard/mouse combo only to find that the mouse only works with the internet browser and not with other connections like YouTube.
Audio seems to vary from channel to channel and adjustments for audio are VERY limited.
I purchased this 40" TV 8 months ago and rue the day I did. Samsung does not tell you that this 40 inch model does not have a complete aspect menu, particularly absent is the inability to zoom. Consequently, if you have a library of letterbox movie CD's, you are forced to view the movie in a reduced size. Having a zoom function would adjust the size to a full screen image without distorting the image as happens if you watch letterbox in the 16.9 aspect. Also irritating is Samsung's very skimpy owner's manual and the limited picture and audio options that allow one to adjust the TV to suit ones taste. The audio adjustment don't allow for base and treble adjustments beyond a few choices. I sold this TV and bought the new Vizio 40" V-Series 40" TV which has a full menu of aspect choices, a bulky owners manual that is user friendly with detailed instructions and images to help even the most challenged technical users.
