THE WASHER MAKES ME SMILE. IT DOES THESE SWIRLS AND COUNTER SWERLS THAT SEEM TO MOVE THE DIRT IN FABRIC OUT WITH THIS ACTION. THEN THERE IS THE 360 SPIN AND STOP. IT HAS SO MANY FEATURES THAT I HAVE NOT USED AS YET, THAT SEEM TO ENABLE YOU TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CLOTHING AND BEDDING. AT FIRST IT WAS NOISEY, DUE TO THE BACK COVER PANEL RATTLING. SO, I REMOVED IT, APPLIED SOME TAPE AROUND THE EDGES AND THE NOISE WENT AWAY. THE PUMPING OUT OF THE WATER HAS SOME NOISE BUT IS OKAY TO LIVE WITH. IT IS AN INTERESTING WASHER. THANK YOU.
I am an attorney in KC. I purchased this unit from Sears.com and it was delivered on 11-29-17 by Sears delivery service, Diakon Logistics. I personally saw the unit installed. There was no damage to the unit by installers or during delivery. Installers hooked it up and placed Samsung washer on "break in cycle". My wife and I left house right after installers were done. Upon return, a 1/2" of water was throughout our kitchen, and water was pouring out from under the Samsung machine. Drain line was in wall. Diakon techs returned, spent an hour helping clean up water throughout our kitchen, and Diakon immediately brought out a new unit. Diakon was responsive to problem at hand. But now the good stuff. A call to Sears customer service on the evening of 11-29-17 is still unanswered as of 1-9-18. Further, a legal claim submitted to Samsung on 12-13-17 still remains unanswered as of 1-9-18. Per a contractor who inspected, our hardwood floors in kitchen are ruined from water and will need to be replaced. Does Sears care? Seems not. Does Samsung care? Seems not. I have no option now but to move forward with retaining counsel to file suit against Sears and Samsung. Be well aware that Samsung knows I am an attorney, and Samsung still chooses to blow people off. Not only did the unit leave the factory defective (representing poor quality control), but Samsung also doesn't want to rectify the damage caused to our home by their defective washer. Further, I have spent a lot of money at Sears through the years. No more, as its been over thirty days now with no phone call back to the call I placed to customer service on 11-29-17. Be aware folks. You might want to consider another retailer and definitely another manufacturer other than Samsung. And this is coming from a guy who was purchasing his third set of Samsung units. Again, no more. My money will go elsewhere in the future. Spencer
I have had this washer for a year and a half and I have regretted it from day one. It has the potential to be a great washer because it has a lot of different settings, but when I want to use the most basic setting (normal wash, heavy soil, warm water), the basin fills with about one inch of water, gyrates around for an hour, which in some cases has torn fabrics since they are just pulling against each other rather than being slightly suspended in water, and when all the cycles are done, I literally pull out clothes that are half dry. Water never even touched them in some places. So if I actually want CLEAN and UNDAMAGED fabrics from my “energy efficient” Samsung washer, I have to use the setting that fills the basin FULL of water rather than rely on it to correctly use an efficient amount of water. Additionally, my washer has recently developed this high pitched squealing sound when the basin rotates.
Very good washer I love it. Was there a Inside tub light?
