Two Washers in One
The Samsung Black Stainless Steel 5.5 Total cu. ft. FlexWash™ Washer lets you wash separate loads at the same time. With two individually controlled washers in the same unit, you can run two loads with different settings and options. This means you'll be able to wash more laundry with fewer loads. The 1.0 cu. ft. upper washer gives you the perfect option for washing smaller loads and delicates.
Gentle and Powerful
Steam Wash uses the power of steam from below so every item gets a deeper clean. The diamond drum design helps extend your clothing's life by treating fabrics gently.

The Samsung Flexwash is beautifully designed. Its black stainless steel gives my laundry room a sleek, modern look. Before it was delivered I'd considered building a pedestal with laundry basket storage underneath. (Thanks, Pinterest!) I'm glad I didn't. I'm tall, yet would have had trouble using the upper washer. Besides, with this washer I can't imagine the laundry piling up, so the extra baskets aren't really necessary. The 5.5 cu. ft. capacity is pretty roomy. During delivery they had to remove the laundry room door. Be sure to not only measure the space for the washer, but the doorways through which it needs to pass. It's huge. The first feature I tried was the FlexWash. I loaded it with several small articles of clothing, like socks and undergarments, a girls' pair of shorts and shirt, and an a adult t-shirt. It did a nice job. Keep in mind that the FlexWash holds more laundry than the FlexDry is able to accommodate, so don't expect to be able to dry everything at once. Also, be careful not to overload the FlexWash. I tried washing a small throw, but it must have been too much, because the center of it didn't get wet. The detergent is added to the machine using an Aqua Pebble, which is a soft flexible cup. Just fill the Aqua Pebble and put it in the bottom, before adding clothes. I envision myself using the FlexWash most often for small items. Perhaps now I won't have so many missing socks. The main washer has every setting I could possibly imagine. It needs to be installed to the left of the dryer if you want to be able to easily transfer the laundry between machines. It's quiet, even during the spin cycle. That's important to me, since my laundry is not far from the main living areas. I like the diamond drum, which I is gentler on my clothes than my previous washer's drum. Be sure wipe the glass and the gasket, and leave the door ajar after each use to prevent mold. A few weeks after getting the machine my husband adopted a large, short haired dog. I've noticed that the gasket tends to trap its fur, so I'm always sure to pay it special attention when I wipe it down. I also have a tiny, 5 pound dog. Her fur was never noticeable. It's only since the adoption of the large dog that I've noticed fur in the gaaket. It's really not a big deal, though, since I wipe it down due to moisture anyway. I recommend this machine. It looks great, performs well, and has the added bonus of being two washers in one
Samsung washing machine broke down and their manufacturers warranty would not cover the breakdown. Weve been without a washing machine for over 30 days waiting for Sears to fix this piece of junk. Top washer over flowed constantly with only 1 shirt in it. Water everywhere. We learned that other people who purchased the matching dryer as we did had fires. We've always purchased Sears but this was a huge mistake. SAMSUNG IS RUTHLESS AND REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR OWN WARRANTY! UNETHICAL! Thank God we purchased the Sears extended warranty but even that is taking an inordinate amount of time. With our large family we've been going to the laundromat 2 & 3 times a week!!! DONT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, THEY DONT HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES!
this has been the worst washing machine purchase i've made. buyer beware, the units are sensitive and repair is expensive. i will never purchase a samsung washer again. the unit stop draining and spinning in less than 2 years.
this is the second samsung washer i have owned in 5 years and it's dying. the first one was under warranty and samsung repair mjan broke it even more. samsung didn't have the parts so they told me to buy a new one. i fought them on it and they bought me a new unit.
this new one is now 2 years old and it has started to throw error "3c" codes (drain issues). of course it's outside of warranty so i get to pay stupid repair prices to get a new pump. samsung says the "dd motor" is covered for 10 years, but they don't cover any of the other parts associated with it. i should have just put the extra $300 into a better brand. this is the last samsung product i ever put money into.
machine broke down once during warranty period where someonehad to be called out to fix. (we fixed it ourselves several other times.)
now, it breaks once weekly. we were told by the repairman to never use any fabric softener and only powder detergents (and only in the drum itself) as the machine wasn't built correctly for it and will clog.
over $2000 machine. looks very pretty. terrible piece of junk.
we were so excited when we purchased this washer but our excitement lasted only 6 months. the first issue was with upper washer door latch broke when trying to open it normally. it was under warranty so i got that fixed but now the same issue happened again after 8 months of use, the latch just came off. very poor quality and design for such an expensive washer. just to fix the broken latch the entire door must be replaced and it took 8 hrs to fix it . the tech admits that he received lot of complaints and the latch is prone to break easily due to poor design and quality.apart from this we just started receiving error codes 188j and now i cannot use the lower washer i regret upgrading to samsung washer/dryer . very expensive to fix these issues outside the warranty.
our motherboard just went out one day and we are out of warranty. after reading the previous reviews, it seems like this is a reoccuring issue with the samsung washer.
arent they suppose to last more than 3 years.
disappointed. makes me question samsung appliances.
