We have bought Sauder before but this is the worst piece of furniture I have even seen. The material was of poor quality and one piece missing, directions difficult to follow, piece did not line up properly and lock-screws were flimsy and broke when tightened. We will never buy from them again and am returning this desk.
This will take a couple of hours to put together but instructions are good and it is worth the time and effort.
This desk has made our office more manageable; it increased the efficiency of the available work space. Reasonably priced, this piece of furniture is great quality and has the structural integrity of a professional desk without the cumbersome weight. The color and appearance is also very professional -- truly looks like real wood. My husband and I worked together assembling this: we layed out all the pieces; read the directions; took our time going step by step; questioned the order of assembly at times, but realized the Sauder folks know their product and know what they are doing. Simply follow the instructions, take your time, and enjoy putting this together. You will be pleased.
I would certainly recommend this item if you are looking for a well built computer desk. I had a problem with one of the steps during the assembly. I called and talked to Randy(?) and he helped me work through the issue with out a problem. He was very helpful.
I have this desk. It has survived moving 6 times. I don't mean professional movers, I mean friends paid with beer before they started cramming stuff into a rental truck. Yes, it has a few nicks, but is still structurally sound. I'd buy one again.
I found this desk pretty easy to assemble. I needed my wife to help because of the weight. Was well packaged and arrived without any scratches or nicks.
