Beautiful TV Stand

I love this stand. I put my 51' flat screen on it in the living room.  I also replaced the knobs (found at lowes). I have no complaints. Looks very elegant.

Pain in the rear

This product was a pain to put together it was much like building a rocket ship and not to mention the wood chips off so easily. It looked all beat up when we finally had it put together. I would much rather buy a piece of furniture that is already assembled. I do like the style of the product but not all the time, effort and headaches it caused to get there.

Can't beat it for the price.

Love this stand. Classy & symmetrical, with 4 storage drawers to keep things organized & contained out of sight. The adjustable shelves hold a variety of things. I have a PS3, Wii, DVD player all set up with room for one more. Was a bit of a chore to build but worth it! Bravo, Sauder.

Sturdy, classy piece

|

Even though this is a "build yourself", it was pretty easy to put together. Sometimes these types of pieces don't line up very well and look cheap, but this fit together fairly well. We are pleased with the purchase.

Damaged Goods

|

This item arrived damaged on top and contained a big gauge on the front. I ordered one for myself that wasn't bad and love the TV stand so my elderly mother ordered one on-line and it arrived damaged. To big an item for us to try to ship back so she kept it. Also putting it together is a PITA as all materials are not numbered as they should be. It's like putting a puzzle together. Very disappointed.

Panels Nicked, Packaging Poor

|

The TV stand arrived in a timely way. But the cardboard container was two pieces of cardboard boxes of different sizes taped together with packing tape. Most unusual. So I'm not sure if it came that way from Sears/Kmart or the UPS people repackaged it. All the parts and hardware were there, but two of the panels were nicked, one of them on a corner and fortunately it cannot be seen because the location of the panel hides it. With both nicks, my husband used a permanent black marker and it works fine.

We read some other reviews prior to purchasing that also talked about nicks and scratches, but thought it was worth the risk. Generally we're ok with the product, but just ok.

The only reason we did not return the nicked panels is that they could easily be dealt with without taking away from the look of the TV stand. We like the design and functionality, but rated this average due to poor handling and packaging.
