KNEESLOVEIT

My husband had his knees replaced and most of his therapy was on a stationary bike, so we purchased one to exercise at home with and his new knees love it.

Nothing but hassles

We bought this bike back in February and we've had nothing but issues with it. We noticed after a week or so that buttons would randomly not work. So I called Sears Support and learned that the power cord included with the bike was under recall because it didn't provide enough power. Sears claimed this was why buttons were randomly not working. Sears sent us the proper cord, but after a week or so, it was obvious that more was going on than just a bad cord. The console buttons weren't working - the Programs button stopped working completely, so the only way to get to the programs was by using the Goal Track function, which was also starting to act up. Called Sears again, demanded they send a new console/control panel this time, as the new cord hadn't fixed the problem. Was told it was on back order and they didn't know when one would be available. They also scheduled a service technician to come out in 3 weeks. Are you kidding me? The console was pretty much non-functional as of last week. Fortunately, the console came in this week and the technician checked it over after install to make sure it worked correctly. So far, so good. I'm just a bit disgusted with all the hassle we've had to deal with. When you pay that kind of money for something, you expect it to work! Other than the issues described above, we've enjoyed the bike. The programs are challenging and the bike is comfortable to ride. Figuring out how to use the bike was challenging initially, so we downloaded the full owners' manual and got sorted. If you've purchased this bike, make sure that the power cord isn't the small 9V one, but the full size 9V DC. If you have the small 9V, don't use the bike. Call Sears and make them send you the full size 9V DC cord or you'll end up with the same issue with your control panel/console.

I recommend the Schwinn 270, good value and features.

Very pleased with how easy it is on my knees. Seat is comfortable and the fan is a nice feature. Overall happy with the Schwinn and I got a great deal on it by buying on-line and picking it up at the store.

Nice bike overall

|

Nice even resitance, very quiet and comfortable, three peice crank lets me install my clipless pedals. Would like it better if the seat went back a couple inches further, would not recommend for people with inseams greater than 34 inches. Bought it on sale, a good deal overall.

Solid bike

Good solid recumbent bike. The water bottle holder is in a weird spot - to your left and behind - but I like the design otherwise.
