It sounds like the oven lock-out feature has been activated. The image below describes this feature. Press and hold STOP/CLEAR for 3 deliberate seconds or until the beep sounds. The oven door will unlock. Give it time to unlock before checking it. After this feature is disabled, the control should work normally.
