Overall Good Mattress

I was given the Serta Perfect Sleeper Elmstead in exchange for an honest review. (Please keep in mind that I was supposed to receive a plush mattress, but I received a FIRM instead, so that is what I will be reviewing it as). My wife and I have been sleeping on the new mattress for about a month and there are both pros and cons for this mattress as there are for all things. The Pros- The mattress conforms to your body really well and it provides great support. One big plus for us is that you can't detect the other persons movements as we tend to toss and turn quite a bit. The Cons- This mattress has a layer of cooling gel which we hoped would be great as my wife is always hot at night, but it turns out it was not "cooling" at all and wasn't any better than our old regular mattress. Also the mattress and box spring are super high off the ground, and the edges of the mattress seem to be more rounded, which made my wife feel like she was going to roll off the side of it. Overall I would recommend this bed if you prefer a FIRM mattress that offers great support. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The best thing since sliced bread!

|

I purchased my mattress over a month ago and i haven't slept so comfortably since i can honestly remember. No more back aches, headaches, fatigue, and/or numbness in my feet upon awakening! I thank God for my mattress as my prayers for a great night sleep was answered with Serta!

Supportively firm yet plush with comfort.

|

The Elmstead ET is a superior mattress. For being billed as a plush mattress, the Elmstead is quite firm. For those of us that like soft mattresses, this isn’t a bad thing, it turns out. Sleeping on it has shown me that there is such a thing as being firm enough to be supportive while simultaneously being plush. The Elmstead ET is exactly that.

Before getting the Elmstead, I slept on an all foam memory foam mattress. It was the softest one that I could find. I loved it and thought I could never go back. Although, as I sleep on my side most of the time, I find that my back becomes quite twisted, my hips roll back and my shoulders roll forward. This simply doesn’t happen with the Elmstead. It helps hold me in alignment all night long. On previous innerspring or more firm mattress, my hip that is in contact with the bed becomes a tad sore. Not with this mattress. With the Elmstead, Serta has found the “just right” balance between support and plush comfort.

It also must be said that this mattress has great ventilation I don’t notice any buildup of body heat that get’s trapped between the bedding and the mattress itself.

I would recommend this mattress to anyone. And to others like myself, that love a lot of softness in their bed, I would say that you should give this one a try too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great for hot and cold sleepers

|

My husband and I sleep very differently. He is always hot and I am always cold. He likes a firmer mattress and I like a softer mattress. This is one of the only mattresses we both agree helps us both have a great night of sleep. I can always use more blankets, but my husband loves the Cool Twist Gel Foam, which really has stopped him from overheating in the middle of the night. The mattress is very supportive, though I find it just a tad too firm for my personal comfort level. It's not that I'm not enjoying the mattress – I am – but in a perfect world it would be just a little softer. But, my husband thinks the firmness level is perfect. Overall, this has been a great compromise bed for us and it's one we are sure to continue using for years to come! Toss and turn no more!

|

My fiancée and I were looking for a mattress, we were coming from a memory foam mattress. We were finding ourselves over heated, waking up frequently, and just uncomfortable. Needless to say it just didn’t fit our sleep needs. Upon receiving the Elmstead Serta mattress those concerns are no longer present. It is a medium plus mattress that is both approved for my fiancée who prefers a more firm mattress and myself who desires a plusher sleeping experience. Also, we really liked the aspects of having a memory foam bed, since Serta comfort right layers are both foam and fiber we found that this allows for better temperature control and we still get the feeling of having a memory foam mattress. As I laid down I could feel the gel like layers conforming around my body! No longer are we waking up at 3 am hotter than blue blazes and uncomfortable. The design is attractive and mattress itself is designed beautifully! If I could give this a million stars I would, you cannot put a price tag on a good night’s sleep. No longer and I waking up more tired than I went to sleep. I actually look forward to sleeping now! If you looking for support, good temperature regulation, and to toss and turn less this mattress is an excellent choice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
