Very firm and comfortable. Highly recommend it if you have back pain.
This Hanswell Perfect Sleeper, was recently purchased from Sears. Purchased for my back lumbar issues. After a week of sleeps on it my Back, Neck , Hips all hurt. Already called Solutions dept. and was told to purchase a bed topper. Cannot return for 30 days. In the store mattress and base were fine. That' s a 2 minute lay down. Purchased the reg. size base and that's so high I am climbing on to the bed, when sitting on edge ..I slide off. I'm 5'6" tall. (This is on a metal frame). Both will be going back to Sears . I have lumbar issues but with this mattress I now have added issues and pain. Am exhausted the next day it's "Too " hard. TOSSING AND TURNING ALL NIGHT.
This mattress felt extremely hard after delivery, I couldn't make it through the first couple of nights without pain, and was confident I'd return it after the minimum 30 days. After the break-in period I can now say that I love the bed.
If you are looking for a firm mattress that still has some foam built in on top of the coils then this is the bed for you. Great deal too !
I purchased this mattress in 2016, it now February 2019 and I'm disappointed in the mattress. The middle sags and the edges (foam) are firm. It's hard to move around on the bed (if you are laying in the middle and want to get out of bed, you end up having to scoot several times). I feel like one of those bugs stuck on their back trying to right themselves when trying to get out of bed. I did my research online and wanted extra-firm; I wanted extra-firm springs, not the foam. ~ On the other hand, Sears has the best sale prices on mattresses and was very happy with their cost and delivery.
The mattress became defective within the first year-problem is not there. Got back to customer care with warranty claim but they denied my claim based on some irrelevant facts and warranty guideline those have nothing to do with the defect I got with my mattress. After getting back to them with more picture evidences and explanation finally they approved my claim but said the original item has been discontinued so I needed to select a different mattress.
So, I went to the store to browse new mattress but found that my original mattress is actually still available! I checked at sears.com and it is available there as well. So called them up again and they accepted that the item is actually still there for sale. Now they will exchange the item but I have to pay them more money! Their explanation was when I originally purchased the mattress it was on sale but now it is selling at a higher price, so i have to pay the difference! How ridiculous it is! I am speechless... how cheap and dishonest this place is.
No wonder why Sears is going out of business- because no shoppers go back there for second time.
